Jose alejandro vergara
Jose is funded by the Bicentenario fellowships from Ministerio de Ciencias of Colombia. His research interests are focused on functional ecology of birds and how can we use it to design environmentally friendly cattle landscapes that preserve correct ecosystem functioning and ecological processes. Jose is co-advised by Dr. Juanita Aldana.

Meriele is interested in bat-plant interactions, in particular in how fragmentation can influence reproductive success of bat pollinated plants. Her theses will focus on studying reproductive success of Mucuna mutisiana, a tropical vine, mainly pollinated by Glossophaga soricina in Colombia's tropical dry forest.

His thesis focuses on studying population dynamics and conservation of American Crocodile (Crocodylus acutus) in shore swamps of the Magdalena department in Colombia. Juan is co-advised by Dr. Juanita Aldana Dominguez.

Julieth's interests are focused on conservation and land management. His current job as an officer at Corpamag has inspired her to propose her thesis investigating the distribution of human threats on aquatic mammals and reptiles across the shores of the Magdalena Department. Julieth is co-advised by Dr. Juanita Aldana.
